First Southern Foal for Toronado

Swettenham Stud in conjunction with Qatar's Al Shaqab Racing are delighted to announce the arrival of the first foal by Toronado (High Chaparral) . The bay filly is out of the 2yo Flemington placed Testa Rossa mare Riverina Red and owned by Swettenham client John Connellan. She is described as a strong and well put together foal - a very good effort for the mares first foal. On the back of his exciting and impressive first crop foals in Europe Swettenham is eagerly awaiting more of his foals in the Southern Hemisphere, where he can expect about 150 foals to arrive.

Toronado heads the Swettenham Stud stallion roster again this season and has arrived in magnificent condition. Standing again at $22,000 inc GST, breeders are once again putting their faith in the World Champion Miler with solid bookings recorded. Swettenham remains very honoured to be standing Toronado and look forward to a continuing relationship with Al Shaqab Racing.
