MSHAWISH AND REBEL DANE HEADLINE THE INGLIS STALLION PARADE

As we celebrate 2017’s first foals being born, Swettenham Stud is excited to showcase their two new stallions at the First Season Sires Parade at the Inglis August Thoroughbred Sale at Oaklands on Friday, August 25th.
Champion European Miler Mshawish, being the preeminent son of Medaglia d’Oro and Rebel Dane as the ultimate Group 1 winning colonial bred sprinter.
In a rare opportunity to view both stallions off-farm, Mshawish and Rebel Dane will certainly turn heads and the Swettenham team will be on hand to happily assist breeders with a decision on their mare’s mating.
Mshawish has arrived on Victorian soil and will take his place in the 2017 Swettenham roster in partnership with Al Shaqab and Taylor Made Farm. He was an exceptional international galloper, an elite, versatile and sound five-time Group race winner with dual Group 1’s on dirt and turf.
Swettenham Stud is delighted to parade Mshawish in the flesh as his physical presence will give breeders the confidence that he will pass his looks, ability, toughness and consistency onto his progeny.
Rebel Dane has enjoyed a well-deserved spell since retiring from racing at the top level and now looks refreshed and keen to start his new career.
A dual Group 1 winner of the Manikato and the Rupert Clarke, Rebel Dane raced in top-class company throughout his career, with his last 30 starts at Group One or Two level showing his ability, quality, consistency and soundness.
Mshawish and Rebel Dane compliment Swettenham’s 2017 stallion line-up by offering speed and stamina, value and quality, with colonial and international bloodlines that appeal to breeders nationally and support breeders locally.
Attended annually by large crowd, the first season sires parade generates a positive atmosphere at the sales complex prior to the 2017 Inglis August Thoroughbred Sale commencing. The day is a great opportunity for breeders to network with industry participants early in the season.
